(Rising Minds’ Primary Fundraising Initiative)

Getting involved couldn’t be easier. With just an hour a month, you can make a tremendous difference.

Rising Minds’ Bracelet Initiative is our primary means of fundraising. This creative and holistic effort supports conscious consumerism and small business development, while raising funds to sustain our non-profit organization. We buy hand-woven bracelets directly from Guatemalan artisans, set up an informational display in businesses, and ask for a dollar contribution for each bracelet.

As a volunteer, all you need to do is find local businesses to host our Bracelet Initiative, set up a display, and return to the business monthly to collect donations and restock the bracelet supply. We provide all the materials, step-by-step guides, and support throughout the process.

If we implement the Bracelet Initiative into 100 businesses we can satisfy Rising Minds budget, in it’s entirety. Get involved today!

2. Approach businesses in your area and implement our Bracelet Initiative (literally consists of putting out a bowl of bracelets, donation jar, and educational/promotional materials)

3. Return monthly to restock the bracelet supply, collect donations, and mail to Rising Minds (15 Fox Run Drive Newburyport MA 01970)

With less than an hour of your time per month you can help…

* Support small business development– Provide consistent and fair wages directly to artisans

* Prove that every little bit counts– Just an hour of your time a month, and $1.00 donations..

* Promote conscious consumerism– The people participating in this initiative know exactly where their bracelet came from, who made it, and what their purchase is supporting.

* Provide local businesses with a simple, no aggravation way to be socially impactful. This initiative takes nothing from businesses; all they need to do is provide a space. In return they gain a socially conscious edge.

* Satisfy Rising Minds budget needs– If we implement this initiative in 100 stores, the accumulation of $1.00 donations will satisfy Rising Minds budget needs, in entirety.

Responsibilities:

* Understand the mission, goals and elements of the Bracelet Initiative Approach businesses (We can send you a step-by-step guide to approaching businesses.)

* Record business information (We’ll send you the business documentation template.)

* Set up materials, bracelets, and donation jar in businesses. Send our Outreach Coordinator an email with completed forms. Return to businesses monthly to collect donations and restock bracelet supply.

* Deposit donations each month into our Rising Minds bank account. (We will provide you with our account number.)
